“Now sleeps the crimson petal, now the white; Nor waves the cypress in the palace walk; Nor winks the gold fin in the porphyry font: The firefly wakens: waken thou with me.”
“Crimson Petal” is a natural lip tint, inspired by and named after a sonnet poem by Lord Alfred Tennyson, written in 1847.
To make a lip balm that not only cares for your lips but also gives them a gentle rosy glow, golden jojoba oil is infused with alkanet root. The skin on the lips is much thinner than the rest of the face, and lacks natural oils that keep it moisturized. Organic unrefined shea butter, coconut oil and unbleached local beeswax soothe and restore the balance. The lip tint is lightly scented with rosewood essential oil.
While it does not have the intensity of a lipstick, it provides a subtle tint and can be used as a base or primer for any other lip makeup, as it fills in the chapped areas and smooths them over.
“Crimson Petal” arrives in an unbleached linen drawstring pouch, making it ideal for a small gift ready to be given.
