I have been searching for a neroli scent that is just perfect (not cloying) for the better part of a decade. Alice is perfection. I am mad hatter levels of happy.

This is just so accurate! On the first whiff I can immediately imagine the book and the characters. It’s the most unique and whimsical out of the heroine fragrances. It opens with the bright and fresh scent of mandarin and florals together, and once it has dried, it’s the florals – in particular the neroli – that come through most clearly. I only wish that the mandarin could be more clear too, the opening smells that good. The only reason why I gave this and Jane Eyre 4 out of 5 is because the scents don’t last very long, but that’s to be expected with natural oils.

Unfortunately this doesn’t quite work for my skin. The neroli is so overpowering that I cannot really detect any other note. Is is overall quite bitter and sharp, where I was expecting it to be fresher and sweeter. If you love neroli, this is for you, but if you’re looking for a more complex citrus&floral fragrance I’d recommend you give Elizabeth Bennet a try instead.
